Within the activity’s verticalization spirit and as a logic complement for the investment project we are undertaking, the farm naturally appears as an imperative need. It truly is one of the corner stones on which all the project is based.
The social need to help settling population in the country areas, to put a stop to the increasing and widely admitted desertification, and to value the “earth” and its products, is also a beacon that guides and motivates us to go ahead with the Quizcamp® project.
In this context, we are improving and reconverting the Quinta da Nossa Senhora do Rosário, an estate bought in June, 2005, with around 107 hectares, located in Santiago do Escoural, municipality of Montemor-o-Novo, in the southern slope of Serra de Monfurado range.
By the time Quizcamp® bought the farm, its agricultural activity was deactivated for a long time, except for the cattle breading area (a pig breeding facility with 90 sows and a stable with 40 bovines).
The farm is oriented to horticulture and fruit-growing, providing the raw materials for the processing plant which will be built in an area of 70 hectares. |
